Nationally recognized and respected investment ratings company raises rating considerably on Westchester Medical Center's bonds from Baa3 to Baa1
Moody's Ratings Services, the nationally known and respected investment ratings company, today raised its rating on Westchester Medical Center's (WMC) bonds two notches from Baa3 to Baa1 with a "positive" outlook for the organization.
According to Moody's, WMC's upgrade is based on fundamental management and financial performance improvements over the last several years and a continued high demand for WMC's advanced services, as well as the strong relationship with Westchester County. Moody's also cited WMC's improved managed care rates and expense reductions in addressing state Medicaid cuts.
